This book is by Dave Barry, and it is therefore hilarious. In my experience (three books of it) he is the funniest author of all time. If you find a funnier author, tell me immediately. I believe that this is a collection of his newspaper columns in which he responds to his many Alert Readers. He gives helpful and informative advice on important topics such as exploding animals, such as snails, pigs, cows, whales, and a human stomach. He touches on many other hilarious topics which for the life of me I can't remember right now. But they were very funny, I can assure you that. And they might have something to do with groundhogs, but I don't think so.

I have read a lot of Dave Barry's books, too, and you are right...he is hilarious! It's fun to think that a grownup could have such a wacky and interesting view of our ordinary world. When you really look at the world, it's not ordinary at all! It's hilarious!

So, I have to agree Dave Barry is hilarious. Drink nothing while reading as it will surely come streaming from you nostrils. I thought I had a Dave Barry book to send your way but alas its gone. Elena has Peter and the Starcatchers and enjoed it. Check with her about borrowing if you haven't read it yet.
